In a couple of weeks, we will host our GRPA District Meet. This is our qualifying meet for GRPA State Championships. The District Meet is June 25th at the Calhoun Aquatic Center. If you are wanting your child to swim in that meet, please go ahead and sign them up. You will be able to select the events you would like them to compete in. However, you will also need to pay for each event you sign them up for.

1. You must sign up for events on Swimtopia no later than Friday (June 17).

2. Each swimmer may swim in 3 individual events and 2 relays.

3. There are additional fees for swimming in this meet.

$7.00 per person per individual event

$4 per person per relay event.

You do not need to pay to sign up for the meet. We will provide more payment info next week.

4. The top three finishers in each division for each event go to state. You must declare if your swimmer is available to swim at the State meet. Please include this in the coach comments section of the RSVP or tell Coach Ogas personally. This may determine who swims in relays.

*The State meet is July 15-16 in Moultrie, GA. This is a two day meet (prelims on Fri., finals on Sat.) It starts early Friday morning, and therefore may require a 2 night overnight stay.

5. Please send a copy of your swimmer's birth certificate by Friday 6/17. You can hand a paper copy to Coach Ogas on deck, text a picture of the certificate to Michele at 641-295-2194, or email a copy to: [email protected]. We need this from everyone that is swimming in the District meet, regardless of if you turned it in last year. 

It is necessary for every family to supply at least one volunteer to help with the District meet. There are many, many job options. If you do not sign up, you may be asked to help on site. Volunteer Sign ups on are Swimtopia under the meet.
