The District Meet is June 24th in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. This is our qualifying meet for the GRPA State Championships. If you are wanting your child to swim in that meet, please go ahead and sign them up on our website. You will be able to select the events you would like them to compete in. However, you will also need to pay a participant fee and pay for each event you sign them up for.

1. You must sign up for events on Swimtopia no later than Sunday June 18th.

2. Each swimmer may swim in 3 individual events and 2 relays. Relay selections will be determined by the coaches. If you would not like your child to swim in relays, please indicate that in your online sign-up.

3. There are additional fees for swimming in this meet.

$6.00 per swimmer participant fee

$7.00 per individual event

$4 per relay event

You do not need to pay at the point of sign up. We will provide more payment info in the coming days..

4. The top three finishers in each division from each event qualify to go to State.

*The State meet is July 14-15 in Moultrie, GA. This is a two day meet (prelims on Fri., finals on Sat.) It starts early Friday morning, and therefore may require a 2-night overnight stay.

5. VERY IMPORTANT- If you are swimming in the District Meet for the first time, we will need your birth certificate. Please send a copy of your swimmer's birth certificate by Friday Sunday, 6/18. You can hand a paper copy to a coach on deck, text a picture of the certificate to Coach Ogas using Remind, or email a copy/picture of it to: [email protected]. 

6. This meet is only for swimmers age 6 and up. 6-year-olds this year will have to compete in the 6-8 age group, but will be eligible to qualify for State. I am so sorry to any of our 5 year olds that may want to compete, but that is the minimum age allowed for GRPA swimming.
